Compositions admitted to the final round
The jury of the Novaro 2018 Competition, composed by Ennio Morricone (president), Claudio Ambrosini, Francesco Antonioni, Michele dall'Ongaro and Günter Neuhold, after examining the 11 anonymous scores admitted to the semifinal round, gave a vote for each score from 1 to 5. The three scores that received the highest sum of the votes, therefore admitted to the final test, are (in alphabetical order of the composer's surname):
Giorgio Francesco Dalla Villa (Italy): Gugliel-motel
Carlo Maria Griguoli (Italy): Agèmina
Sergio Rodrigo (Brazil): Human Machines
The votes of each juror will be made public, without indication of the name, at the end of the competition, after December 9th.
The three finalist compositions will be performed on December 9th 2018 at the Cappella Paolina del Quirinale, live on Radio3, by Ensemble 900 of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, conducted by Sara Caneva. Immediately after the executions, the jury will meet at the Regina Palace Hotel, where the winner will be declared.
